Philosophy All persons are entitled to the privileges, rights, responsibilities, and freedom to enjoy a quality of life that is in keeping with their lifestyle and abilities.

Vision: VALID is recognized as a leader, in partnership with the community, in ensuring full and inclusive lives for people with disabilities.

Mission: VALID opens doors and creates opportunities for people with disabilities to be involved in activities of their choice in the community.

Values and Beliefs:

People have a right to:

be treated with dignity and respect
equal rights and freedoms
opportunities for success
fairness
opportunities to grow and develop
opportunities to develop and focus on strengths
be supported to achieve goals
